The Demolition Derby is promoted as a spectator's thrill attraction. In the interest of safety and sportsmanship, the promoter and the track set up rules and regulations where this is held. The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed for the orderly conduct of the events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements of such events. These rules shall govern the conditions of all events and all expresses or implied warrants of safety shall result from publications of, or compliance with rules and/or regulations. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarranty against injury or death to participants, spectators or others.
Entrants of the Demolition Derby are not employees of the promoter or sponsoring track, but are considered to be an independant contractor.
Everyone must wear a shirt with either short of long sleeves. Absolutely no cut off sleeves allowed. Everyone must wear long pants. No open toed shoes allowed...no flipflops.
The promoter and/or the Fair Association will not be held responsible for cars or personal property before, during or after the event including those left overnight.
Anyone under the influence of intoxicating beverages or drugs either before or during the event will be automatically disqualified. The car, driver and the entire crew of the offending party will be removed from the track. This is not only for your safety, but also for the safety of everyone else.
Officials reserve the right to accept or reject any and all applications.
Persons must be at least 18 years to be in the pit area. Note: Anyone going into the pit area must have a pit pass, a wrist band on and must sign a release form.
All entry fees and pit pass fees are non-refundable.
All cars must be removed from the track and the pit area at a time to be announced at the drivers meeting.
Cars may be decorated, but only in good taste. Absolutely no obscene language and/or pictures are allowed on the car. This includes shirts since this is a spectator event.
Only American made full-bodied passenger cars and station wagons will allowed in the events. No trucks, carryalls, limousines, convertibles or four wheel drive vehicles will be allowed.
No alcohol or drugs allowed in the pits.
You will buy your roof car number from TSB.
Gas tank with no more than 5 gallons to be placed behind the driver's seat securely covered.
All glass, chrome, molding, hood latches, gas tanks and rear seat must be removed before arriving at the track.
Hoods can be fastened in six locations using #9 wire or chain. Hoods must have a 14 inch hole cut in them and must be open for inspection. Front two body bushings may be removed and replaced with all-thread, may extend through the hood with a washer no larger than 3 inches on the top. All other body bushings must be stock on the car.
Any model bumper is allowed. Must be a car bumper and may not be turned over.
Bumper shocks may be welded to the bumper and frame only. This is the only welding allowed on the frame.
Car height not exceed 20 inches from the ground to the bottom of the bumper.
Trunk lid may be welded or wired with #9 wire or chained. If welded, no more than 3 welds per seam...4 inch X 1 inch per weld.
Radiator must be in stock position.
You will be allowed to run the following: Electric fans, slip drive shaft, transmission cooler (if moved to the inside of the car and covered), distributer guard (must not be braced to the body...must be fastened to engine only).
You may not have transmission guards or engine guards.
Doors may be welded, wired or chained. No more than 3 welds per door seam. Each weld may be no more than 4 inches long and 1 inch wide. If driver's door comes open you will be disqualified.
Battery must be relocated to the passenger side floorboard. Must be sucurely covered.
You cannot put leaf springs on rear end under a car that did not come from the factory with leaf springs. Car must be bounce free.
Cutting bumper ends and fenders for clearance is OK. DOT tires only.
All cars must have windshield protection in from of driver.
Notch rear frame is OK.
